Traduction du rapport du Sgt Harold N Clarke - (I was a member of the crew of Stirling aircraft which left Lakenheath on 5 Sep 43 at about 2230 hrs to bomb Mannheim. I know that on the outward journey we were having engine trouble, but my memory from this point is a complete blank, and the next thing that I can remember is that I was in a field. This is discovered later was on the outskirts of Sorbon (O 5510). When I came to I found that somebody had made a pillow out of my parachute. I was still wearing my mae-west and harness. I was broad daylight. Quite soon a car picked me up and I was taken to Rethel (O 5506) to a house. I was i bed here until about 10 Sep. On 6 Sep Marsh (S/PG 1754) was brought to see me. Marsh was staying at Ville-sur-Retourne (T 6294). On 15 Sep I was taken by car to Ville-sur-Retourne to join Sgt Marsh, and from this point my experiences were the same as his.
