Rapport du pilote 2Lt Wilson (source Accident Report-AFHRA): I was proceeding from Cherbourg to Pisa in a flight and was forced to go on instruments. On making a one-hundred and eight degree turn I discovered a hole through which I descended to twelwe-hundred (1200) feet. Visibility was very limited for a minute by a cloud. Upon breaking out was practically in the trees of a mountain ridge. It was impossible to pull the ship up over the trees. As a result it crashed into the ridge. |
