Traduction extrait de MACR - (I was flying Pectin Blue 2 to Lt Williams and we gave top cover for bounce on Jonzac Airdrome where 3 Fw190s were destroyed on the ground and in the vicinity I saw one destroyed in the air. The pilot bailed out and the aircraft crashed. We began climbing north and sighted several large aircraft on an airdrome at St Jean d'Angely. We were at 12,000 feet. Making a port and then a starboard diving turn, I followed Lt Williams over the airdrome. We fired on a Fw-200 on the east side of the field, close to the hangers. As I pulled away from the field a number of tracers passed over my port wing. I dropped to the deck and opened up for about two minutes, then zoomed up into cloud cover.
About 1505 hours, Lt Williams had to leave his kite because of a glycol leak in the radiator. Lt Carr and I were with Lt Williams when he bailed out safely at 1505, slightly north of Angers, France, altitude 7,000 feet.
