Extrait du rapport d'enquête (Source: Accident Report - AFHRA): 2nd Lt Marvin R Wood, O-2063112, was a non-operational flight. Returning to base after approximately one hour transition flying, Lt Wood made his landing patternbut overshot the runway. Approximately 20 feet off the ground near the center of the landing strip, he decided to "go around"; the tower directing him to do so at the same time. Applying power et starting his wheels up the plane picked up to about 100 feet but then began settling as a slight left turn was started, flaps still down. Striking the tops of trees some 1000 yards off the west end of the runway, the aircraft then hit the roof of the building approximately 25 feet high and crashed into the court-yard of a building area, striking two more trees as it hit the ground. Immediate cause: Lack of sufficient power to "go around" successfully, causing plane to "settle" and crash. )
