Rapport: - (On the 12 June 1944 I landed besides my ship in a field outside St Andre de Briouze (Orne). An hour later I ran into a French girl (aged 20) who took me to her house where she lived with her mother and brother. They gave me civilian clothing but they were afraid to hid me so a neighbourg took me to his house and hid me fot the night. The next morning I walked N towards Bayeux. At Breel (15 km N of St Andre de Briouze) I met a middle aged women who took me to her house where I met her husband: Andre Lehain. I stayed there until the 15 June. That day the mayor of Chenedouit (Orne) Comte Frottier de Bagneux (aged 38) came to see me with a Guide called Giyou. The guide led me through Chenedouit to the mayors estate were I was hidden and where I met It Gese. We stayed in this place for a week after which for safety reasons the mayor put us in the hands of two brothers: Charles et Clement Mace. The two brothers lived two miles a part from each other and owned, the property between there houses. We were first put in an Charles abandonned barn on the edge of the forest from the 22 June until the 4 August. The mayor came to see us dayly. On the 4 August the Germans moved in Charles property and when we saw the tents beeing put up we took off by ourselves to the forest. From there we went to Clement house were we stayed another week. We moved again to the forest for this house was also getting dangerous. We stayed there until the 18 August at which date we were picked up by our troops. De là, nous sommes allés à la maison de Clément où nous sommes restés une semaine supplémentaire. Nous sommes ensuite retournés dans la forêt, car cette maison devenait également dangereuse. Nous y sommes restés jusqu'au 18 août, date à laquelle nous avons été recueillis par nos troupes. Pendant notre séjour chez les Mace, Louis Chevalier nous apportait chaque jour de la nourriture de la maison du maire.
