Extrait du rapport du pilote (source Accident Report - AFHRA): {…]Having about 50 gallons left in each tank we took a heading between the clouds which were from the ground to an estimated 14,000 feet. Radio compass was inoperative and fluctuated from O degrees to 180 degrees. Flying on a heading of 270° we searched for an airfield. Having no success and deciding not to wait until the last minute we found a level plowed field near a river bank. We dragged the field making sure it was clear of obstructions, made a pattern, called Parade for the last time. Had the crew prepare for a crash landing, came in wheels up as the ground was soft and muddy. The plane slid to a stop and we climbed out with no injuries to any of the crew members, landing time was 1320 hours.[…] |
