The plane circled low to the right and started back over the strip. As it passed over the Flight Test Building at approximately 1500 hours, objects appeared to be dropping from the left wing. The left wing dropped and the plane rolled to the left in mid-air. The right wing struck the ground first. The plane was a complete wreck and all occupants were killed instantly. Later observation seemed to indicate that the glue on gussets and ribs was not sticking to the skin covering of the leading edge and top of the left wing.
