Extrait de l'Accident Report: [...] As Lt Olden reached approximately 50 ft altitude his plane back fired and started smoking and flames were seen coming from the nose section of the plane. The plane hung in the air momentarily and then settled back on the runway. By the time, Lt Olden had reached the end of the runway and, realizing that he was going to crash, pulled his bomb releases, cut his switches and, being unable to stop the plane, crashed through some up-rooted trees and ditches and finally stopped in a road 100 yds past the end of the runway. The plane was completely demolished; however, Lt Olden was uninjured. ------------------ ([...] )
