Extrait du rapport d'enquête (source: Accident Report): It is the opinion of the Aircraft Accident Officer that Lt Campbell was attempting to turn off the runway at the intersection and had too much speed to safely unlock his tail wheel. Lt Campbell, however, unlocked his tail wheel an the airplane swerved to the right. The airplane was nosed up on an attempt to straighten it out.
