Extrait du rapport du pilote (source Accident Report - AFHRA): After being out about one hour we received a call from our field controller instructions us to return to base because the weather was closing in. When we got over our field the overcast extended from 0 to 8,000 feet. I followed my squadron leader until I lost him in another higher overcast. Then I began to clim, and switched to channel C and got "Corridor" who gave me three vectors on a heading of approximately 215, trying to get me into another field. I broke out of the overcast at 22,000 feet following this vector that was unable to contact "Corridor" again. I tried allthe other channels for controller and finally made contact with our field controller who told me to take a vector of 040. By this time my fuel supply was exhausted and I bailed out at 12,000 feet. The time was approximately 1650. |
