Extrait de l’ORB 27-972-3 - ( : "Meanwhile at Faux-ville-cerf the three available a/c were despatched on a daylight raid on enemy positions West of Laon. 1. K7696 – P/O Taylor, Sgt Lang, Lac Long. 2. L5226 – Sgt Godsell, Sgt Hopgood, Lac Boyle. 3. Sgt Ebert, Sgt Jones, Lac Utteridge. N°1. Did not return and the crews were later reported prisoners of war. N°2. Failed to return and crew were reported missing. Later the a/c was reported crashed. Lac Boyle killed and buried at Laon and Sgts Godsell and Hopgood prisoners of war. N°3. Force landed about 10 miles South of Epernay. Sgt Jones (A/Obs) had been seriously wounded and was taken to Epernay hospital. Now reported dead. Sgt Ebert and Lac Utteridge made their way back to the Squadron."Original)- source : National Archives UK. L5226 – Sgt Godsell, Sgt Hopgood, LAC Boyle. 3. Sgt Ebert, Sgt Jones, Lac Utteridge. N°1. N'est pas revenu et les équipages ont ensuite été signalés prisonniers de guerre. N°2. N'a pas réussi à revenir et l'équipage a été porté disparu. Plus tard, l'a/c s'est écrasé. LAC Boyle tué et enterré à Laon et les Sgts Godsell et Hopgood prisonniers de guerre. N°3. Atterrissage forcé à environ 10 miles au sud d'Epernay. Le Sgt Jones (A/Obs) a été grièvement blessé et transporté à l'hôpital d'Epernay. Maintenant déclaré mort. Le Sgt Ebert et le Lac Utteridge sont retournés au Squadron."
