Photo tombe 1Lt Farr sur fr.findagrave.com Photo tombe Sgt Champion sur fr.findagrave.com Extrait du rapport d'enquête (Source: Accident Report - AFHRA): [...] It is reported the aircraft gained very little altitude after leaving the ground and was seen to crash and burn immediately after take-off. A short distance from the take-off end of runway and straight ahead the airplane "bellied" in and slid 300 - 350 yards before hitting a railroad embankement. It is believed that, though airplane would have burned, all occupants would have escaped pratically unhurt if aircraft had not hit embankement. The landing, as investigation of marks on ground reveal, was very gentle and could possibly have been intentional. [...] It is the opinion of the board that the co-pilot could possibly have raised flaps as he raised the wheels or that they attempted to take-off with out flaps and the pilot lowered the nose of the aircraft immediately after take-off in order to gain additional speed.
