He snapped over on his back and spun in. The pilot rode the plane to the ground and was killed. The plane was a complete washout and from the wreckage nothing can be ascertained. However, it is probable that the pilot develped engine trouble and must have become excited allowing the plane to get out of control to the extend it did. (Le Lt Elgin a effectué un décollage normal et se trouvait en formation à environ 2 000 pieds lorsqu'il a semblé avoir des problèmes de moteur alors que l'avion commençait à ralentir. […] Le pilote a mis l'avion au sol et a été tué. L'avion était complètement détruit et rien ne peut être déterminé par l'épave. Il est toutefois probable que le pilote ait eu des ennuis de moteur et qu'il soit devenu excité, ce qui lui a permis de perdre le contrôle de son contrôle.) |
