Traduction d’un extrait du rapport du 2Lt W J Roberson - (Lt Edwards had taken off on a weather recce mission and was circling over the field as the gained altitude. At approximately 1200 to 1500 feet, near the center of the airdrome, his engine suddenly dropped to idling speed. Extending his landing gear the pilot attempted to turn onto the runway in the hope of effecting a normal landing. At some 200 feet altitude and approximately 1000 yards off the west of the landing strip, the aircraft stalled and crashed to the ground. There was no fire but the engine and airframe were destroyed to such an extend as to make a reliable inspection impossible.
