Extrait du site www.conscript-heroes.com : "2/Lt Karl Daniel Miller (#446) and 2/Lt Jack O Horton were crewmen on 338/BS B-17 42-3430 Carolina Boomerang shot down 14 October in the forest of Samsoussy (Samoussy) Aisne. Miller was picked up by Mme Suzanne Verchere of La Bovette a few days later. On 25 October M Desprey brought him to Dromas's home at Chauny on his motorcycle. Three days later he was placed with M Chede at Frières Faillouël. Horton was found at Crepy-en-Valois and brought to Chauny by 'Jo' the chief of the BOA (Bureau d'Operations Aeriennes) for Oise. Horton was also placed with M Chede. Both Americans left for Paris on 9 November."
