Rapport de fuite F/Sgt Walsh - (I took off from Waddington on 7 Jul 44 at 2230 hrs in a Lancaster aircraft. I baled out at 0130 hrs on 8 Jul 44 near Senantes (M 7315). I walked SW for approximately four hours, when I met a French boy, who took me to his home. I was provided with a meal, and hid in a nearby wood until the evening of 9 Jul. During this time I was fed by the boy. At 2130 hrs on 9 Jul I started walking SW across country and arrived at Lalandelle (M 7505). The remainder of my journey was arranged for me. On 31 Aug I met a British recce unit at Le Varoux (M7505). APPENDIX C - At Lalandelle I met M. Robert Baudoin and I stayed at his home until 12 Aug, when a member of the local Resistance Group came to the house and took me to the home of M. Klebert Le Frevre, Le Varoux (M 7903). He gave me clothing, and identity card, and provided food and shelter until 31 Aug. I met W/O Adams, of my crew, at Le Fevre's home on my arrival there. He is still at this house, as he has congestion of the lungs. On 31 Aug I met a British Recce Unit at Le Varoux. I made my way to Evreux and was sent to the UK by air on 2 Sep.Original) - source : National Archives UK WO208/3322/2259 J'ai décollé de Waddington le 7 juillet 44 à 22 h 30 dans un avion Lancaster.
